4A. Business Relevance and Support

During the internship period, the intern made use of Google Analytics and Google Search Console. Over the last 6 months, the Gemini Gallery website received a total of 904 users.

According to Google Search Console, the website of Gemini Gallery received over 7.5k views as the search inquiry: “Gemini gallery Eindhoven / Gemini gallery” is placing the gallery in the first five results. Furthermore, in the last months, Gemini Gallery received over 10 positive reviews. According to Google My Business, Gemini Gallery made over 12k impressions this month.

The internship can be considered a success, due to the intern’s ability to deliver 3 out of 4 assignments. Furthermore, the management of Gemini Gallery has now the ability to edit, update and maintain the website with ease. On the same note, the management of Gemini Gallery has also the tools and knowledge to create and distribute new content on Social Media.

4B. Self-Reflection on Project Management

Andrei’s internship at Gemini Gallery proved to be a multi-disciplinary learning experience. Over the internship period, Andrei developed experience in creating websites with regard to SEO, the creation of 3D Models, usage of Augmented Reality, and also video editing. Other learning outcomes are represented by (1) progress to learning Dutch, (2) increased knowledge in the field of arts, and (3) discipline to regularly attend and work from an office with fixed hours.

The limitations faced during the internship refer to unrealistic assumptions about progress speed and also technological capabilities at the lowest cost possible. Other limitations refer to the misleading assumptions about Google Search Console and the speed at which it operates. At the time of writing this report, over 150 pages of Gemini Gallery are “currently not indexed”. On the same note, regardless of the organic efforts a company puts in, in 2022/2023, without paid promotions, it seems nearly impossible to reach large audiences. This limitation can also be associated with the intern’s lack of practice when it comes to applied digital marketing.

Another limitation faced by the intern was his lack of persuasive ability to conceive people to download and use MetaScan. Part of this issue can be attributed to the failure of creating sufficiently educational videos on ‘how to use MetaScan and Augmented Reality’. This limitation, together with the failure of creating NFTs, is actually creating room for improvement and also directs the further research and action required at Gemini Gallery.

A personal recommendation from the intern towards the internship company would be to “not lose the enthusiasm and keep networking with organizers of Art Events. Once you discover the proper way to leverage your unique selling points, the missing aspects will arrange themselves.”
